Services and coverage
01What services does TechGuard maintain?
TechGuard maintains plumbing, HVAC, water heaters, electrical and appliance needs, and related property maintenance.
02Who can use TechGuard subscription plans?
The site names residential customers, apartments and multifamily properties, property managers, hotels, restaurants, offices, retail properties, and other commercial facilities.
03What does a preventive inspection help with?
Planned inspections and routine maintenance help surface small issues before they turn into urgent failures, while keeping the property history and next follow-up clearer.
04How often are inspection visits included?
Home Basic includes a monthly inspection. Standard includes bi-monthly inspection visits. Home Premium includes a monthly comprehensive inspection. Published commercial plans include a monthly inspection visit.
05Are repair labor and parts included?
The published wording differs by plan: Home Basic and Standard offer discounted repair rates; commercial plans say discounted repairs are included; Home Premium says all labor is included. The plan copy does not promise parts across every plan.
06Where does TechGuard provide subscriber coverage?
Coverage is a 30-mile radius from central Abilene, including Abilene city limits (ZIPs 79601-79607), Dyess, Tye, Buffalo Gap, Tuscola, Merkel, and the rest of Taylor County. Exact availability and arrival timing depend on location and demand.
07Can TechGuard consider a property outside the 30-mile radius?
Properties outside the 30-mile radius can be handled case-by-case with prior notice.
Emergencies and response
01What counts as a maintenance emergency?
Published examples include burst pipes, major leaks that cannot be shut off at the main valve, sewer line backups, no hot water, and suspected gas leaks. Active flowing water you cannot stop or a safety concern such as gas or flooding is treated as an emergency.
02What should I do when there is an immediate safety threat?
Leave the unsafe area and use emergency services when appropriate. TechGuard provides a maintenance response path, but it does not replace emergency services.
03How fast is emergency response, and are there emergency fees?
Typical emergency response is 1-2 hours on-site in Abilene city limits and 2-3 hours in areas outside the city but within the 30-mile radius. Basic lists business-hours response, Standard lists emergency response included and a faster dispatch window, Commercial lists priority 24/7 response, and Home Premium lists 24/7 emergency response with no surcharge plus a same-day response guarantee with a licensed technician dispatched the same day. Subscriber plan copy says there are no emergency surcharges, overtime fees, after-hours fees, holiday premiums, or emergency trip charges; exact timing depends on location, demand, weather, and technician availability.
Service requests and account
01How do I submit a routine service request?
Use the signed-in TechGuard account dashboard and submit the Request service form.
02Do I need to sign in to use the subscriber request dashboard?
Yes. The subscriber account route requires authentication. Sign in to continue to the account dashboard.
03What information and urgency choices does a service request use?
The form asks for the covered property, what is happening and any access details, a contact name, email, and phone, plus one urgency value: normal, low, high, or emergency.
04When should I call 325-202-1457 instead of waiting on a request, and what happens after submission?
The account form directs emergency requests to call 325-202-1457 now. A successful request submission returns a reference number, and the team reviews the details and contacts you with next steps.
Plans and billing
01What plans and monthly prices are currently published?
Published plans are Home Basic at $59/mo, Standard at $99/mo, Home Premium at $199/mo, Commercial Small Business at $350/mo, Commercial Mid-Size at $1,000/mo, and Large Facilities on a custom contract. See the pricing page for the current plan cards.
02Is Commercial billed per unit or per property?
Commercial is per property: one building at one address starts at $350/month. Multi-property portfolios and large facilities use a custom contract.
03Do residential plans require a contract, and how does cancellation work?
Residential plans have no contract. You can cancel at any time without a termination fee, and the published policy prorates a refund of unused days. Commercial agreements are tailored to the property with custom SLAs.
04Can I switch subscription tiers?
Yes. Upgrades typically take effect on the next billing cycle, while downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Call 325-202-1457 and TechGuard will handle the switch.
